9/26/05 Monday Night. A busy sports day. MNF. Last week of MLB regular season and both the Giants & the A's still had a chance to make it in the playoffs--each facing the #1 team in their divisions. Liz had an extra ticket to the A's game against the Angels. So I went. Met her at Coliseum BART. Brian and Kevin were already there. Seats were down the first base foul line behind the visitor's bullpen. Wasn't paying much attention the first inning because I realized that I lost my ATM card. Fortunately I lost it in the BofA building when I was making my deposits so someone turned it in. A's were behind 2-0. Then it was 4-0. All the while I kept looking at the Out-of-Town Scoreboard. Giants were losing 0-2. Then 1-2. LA was losing then up 2-4. During the game they asked the crowd which sports highlight we wanted to see--LSU vs. TEN, MNF, or the Tigers game. A lot of people wanted to see the KC/DEN highlight. Unfortunately it was about DEN scoring a touchdown making it 3-13 against KC and I had picked KC in the football pool.
Back to the A's game...The A's managed to get 3 runs but it wasn't enough. Also in the ninth, I noticed that the Giants had scored and it was tied 2-2. Then they went ahead 3-2. But then the A's game ended so they never posted the final Giants/Padres score. Had to wait til I got home about an hour later to find out. Got online and went to ESPN.com. Yea! Giants win. Found out this morning that my man JT Snow injured himself when catching a foul ball. Yea! JT!! Take it for the team.

A new show on NBC Friday nights. Surprisingly good. ER-Nip/Tuck hybrid. But am I just torturing myself by watching it? A little. But the pilot had some lighthearted moments. Now I gotta video tape Numbers and watch Inconceivable. By the way I missed the season opener of Nip/Tuck. Liz had it on TiVO but it looks like they deleted it after they watched it. Bummer. Now I gotta hope to watch it in re-runs.

Went w/Bev, Siah, Manny, EJ, Raq, Marie. Drove and caught cold but trip was pretty successful. Visited Corazon and Blake. Went to Downtown Disney, Venice Beach, Universal City Walk, San Diego.

Worked later than I had wanted. Left around 3.
Took BART to SFO to pick up light blue Dodge Caravan.
Drove home. Surprisingly no traffic. Got home around 4:30pm.
Water plants and packed.
Picked up Bev, Siah, Manny, EJ around 6 then went shopping for snacks.
On our way around 8pm.
Stopped at Paso Robles.Expensive gas. So only got $30.
Got to Gardena Comfort Inn & Suites around 2am.
Unloaded van. Can't decide where to go and in bed around 4am.
Wake up around 7am.
Everyone wakes up at 9am.
Leave around 10.
Look for Long Beach Memorial Hospital (turns out it's by where James used to live).
Visit Corazon & Blake at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. Blake looking better but a bit swollen. Has more color.
Bring Corazon to lunch at DJ Bibinkahan in Artesia.
Go to Downtown Disney, Galleria Mall, drive by office, Venice Beach, Lincoln Blvd/Santa Monica Blvd. Universal City Walk. Look for a place to eat. Drove down Wilshire. Didn't see anyting. Get back on freeway. Get dinner at McDonalds on Willow at Long Beach and eat it at the hospital. On way back to hotel, drive by where James used to live. Go back to hotel. Sleep around 1am.
Wake up at 6:30.
Load van around 9am.
Bad breaks.
Shopping at Walmart in Oceanside. Starbucks, Bank of America.
Don't go to Sea World.
Exchange van at San Diego Airport. Get a white Dodge Caravan.
Go to Chamorro store. Raquel, Marie, Bev, and EJ get cases of Assam Black Tea.
Go shopping at Mall at Americas by the Mexican/California border.
Get a Build-A-Bear for Blake at Fashion Valley Mall.
Rush to LA. Late for visiting hours.
Meet Corazon (with John's boss and family) by Long Beach pier--tried finding Claim Jumpers. About to go to Chili's but change mind. Say bye to Corazon.
Get appetizers at Claim Jumpers by Seal Beach (remember James and me watching movies there--Last of the Mohicans).
On our way around 11pm. Get gas in Santa Clarita. Get money.
Drive. Get sleepy by Dublin/Pleasanton.
Need to use bathroom.
Get to Auntie Irma's around 4:30.
Get to the house around 5:00. Sleep.
Wake up around 10am. Shower. Leave around 11am. Get gas and money.
Return around 1pm. Take BART and cab home. Get home around 2:30.
Water plants. Laundry.
